What this notice covers

This notice explains what happens to information you send us through this website. It is short because this website collects very little.

Information you give us

There are two ways to reach us, and they collect the same thing.

If you email us, we receive whatever you choose to write: typically your name, your email address, your business, and what you are looking for.

If you use the form on our home page, we receive the fields you fill in: your name and email address, which are required, and optionally your phone number, your city, your trade and your current website, together with your message. Nothing else travels with it. The form records no IP address, sets no cookie, and runs no script; it is an ordinary HTML form that posts what you typed and nothing more.

Either way, we use what you send to answer you and to keep track of the conversation if it continues. Enquiries are stored in our own business system on our own servers in Germany.

The form carries one hidden field that you will never see and should never fill in. It exists to catch automated submissions, and a message that fills it is discarded. It collects nothing about you.

We do not sell your information, we do not rent it, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. Writing to us does not put you on a mailing list, and we do not send marketing email to people who have not asked for it.

Information collected automatically

Our web server records what is needed to run the site and to see which pages are used: the time of the request, the address requested, the server's response, the amount of data transferred, the page you came from, and a rough device class (phone, tablet, computer, or automated client).

Your IP address is shortened before it is stored: for IPv4 the last block is dropped, for IPv6 everything from the fourth block on. The full address is never written down. We do not store your browser or operating system identifier, only the device class named above. If you arrived from another site we keep its hostname only and not the full address, because a search engine address carries your search terms and those are none of our business.

This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and loads nothing from third parties. There are no tracking pixels, no advertising tags, and no fonts or scripts fetched from other companies. That includes the contact form, which is why you have not been asked to consent to anything.

These logs are deleted automatically after 14 days. They are not combined with any other data and no profiles are built from them.

Where your information is held

Our servers are located in Germany. If you contact us from the United States, your information will be transferred to and stored in Germany, which is subject to European data protection law. Many people consider that a feature rather than a drawback.

How long we keep it

We keep inquiry emails for as long as the conversation is useful, and delete them when it is not. If you become a client, we keep records as long as we are required to for tax and accounting purposes.

Your choices

You can ask us at any time what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to hello@floridasitecraft.com and we will handle it.

Residents of some U.S. states, including under the Florida Digital Bill of Rights, have specific rights regarding personal information. We honor these requests from anyone who asks, regardless of where they live, because maintaining two standards would be more work than maintaining one.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
